"I had the privilege of visiting the London Wheelchair Rugby team earlier this year and was thrilled to learn that four members were part of the GB Paralympics Squad in Paris recently!

As with many great causes, the club struggles to obtain adequate funding, with each wheelchair costing around £4,000. I was delighted that they could therefore take advantage of a grant from Cash4Clubs to help make the dream of Paris 2024 a reality.

As the latest Cash4Clubs scheme launches, I would urge all clubs to apply to help with running costs and ensure opportunities remain open for everyone."

Small Grant, Big Impact

Cash4Clubs provides much-needed financial support to grassroots sports clubs and organisations, enabling them to thrive, grow and support their communities. Whether our support has helped to buy new equipment, offer training, or make facility improvements, Cash4Clubs has been a part of the history of hundreds of local clubs since 2008. We are very proud of the impact our funding has had and the part we play in community sport across the UK and Ireland.

In a follow up survey for our 2023 winners, we invited them to tell us how they had used their grant and the difference it made.

Almost 40,000 people have benefited from the 2023 grants including 9,000 new people getting active and involved with their local club.

85% said the grant had enabled them to deliver more activities.

Clubs have engaged under-represented groups for example, 71.5% targeted women and 65% targeted people with disabilities to help increase access to and participation in sport.

Over 50 different sports have been supported. From cycling, swimming and wheelchair rugby to rounders, fencing and netball. Our fund recognizes the importance and value of ALL sport.

84.5% of clubs are reaching people in lower socio-economic groups meaning our funding is reaching the people that need it most.

In 2023 Cash4Clubs gave out £400,000 in small grants to 200 local sports clubs and organisations

"We formed our football team with money made from the Cash4Clubs grant. We were able to buy football boots for those that didn't have them, were able to practice more and appear more professional. We ended up making history by playing the first intercity, competitive football match between asylum seeker teams. We could not have done this without Cash4Clubs."

Spotlight on some of our 2023 winners:

We now have over 100 women who are fully interested in keeping healthy with regular participation in fitness classes...Originally we anticipated 40-50 participants but quickly realized the volume and how successful this project is going to be.
