In some ways yes, the grants are still being made available to community sports clubs, particularly those who have suffered the impact of Covid-19, it's just that we have partnered with Made by Sport as they are experts at this and will help us distribute the grants more quickly and efficiently through their networks in order to get the funds to those clubs that need it most.
All the relevant information on how clubs can apply for funding is available on the Made By Sport website at www.madebysport.com/clubsincrisis.
In order to be eligible for funding, clubs must provide clear evidence that they use sport as a mechanism to tackle social issues such as developing life skills, employment opportunities or reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.
The ‘Clubs In Crisis’ fund has been created by Made by Sport, to help directly support the thousands of grassroots community sports clubs and organisations that do so much good work with young people in their local areas to promote positive outcomes including developing life skills such as communication, teamwork and discipline, providing employment opportunities and reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.
Made by Sport are a charity launched in 2019 with the aim of championing the power of sport to tackle social issues and unlock new sources of funding for grassroots organisations using sport to try to change people’s lives and help communities thrive.
