Frequently asked questions


How do clubs apply?

You can apply on behalf of your club through this website by clicking apply. To apply you will need some basic details for the club and contact details, as well as either a written application for what you will use the money for, or if you wish you can present your application as a video.

What do I need to submit an application?

To apply you will need your club name, address, members number, your personal contact details (so we can get back in touch with you), any images you might have to give us a glimpse of what life is like at your club, an idea of what grant level you wish to apply for and finally a written or filmed application (which you can either copy and paste or upload into your application).

Who can apply?

So long as your club is registered with their sport's National Governing Body or local authority you can apply for a Cash4Clubs grant. If successful in your funding application, grants will only be sent to official club bank accounts. We encourage a wide range of sports clubs to apply; from sailing to karate, dancing to football, you are welcome to submit an application on behalf of your organisation.

How much are the grants worth?

There are four tiers of grants available: £/€500, £/€1,000, £/€2,500 and £/€5,000. To be considered for the top two tiers, in your application, you'll have to give details on the effect COVID-19 has had on your club, why the funding is needed and what the funding will go towards.

When will I hear back whether I have been successful?

The 2020 application window closes on the 8th September at 23:59. The assessment of applications will be done in September and October with winners being announced by the 30th October. Due to the high volume of entries we cannot get back to everyone and will therefore only be in touch with clubs that are successful. If you haven't heard from us by the 30th October, then unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful this time around.

I don’t think my application was submitted successfully

If you have had an issue submitting your application, please get in touch using the email cash4clubs@Flutter.com. If your application was submitted correctly you will receive an email thanking you and you will also be re-directed to a thank you page. If this was not the case, please ensure your web browser is up to date and/or try submitting using another web browser.

Can I reapply if my application is unsuccessful?

Whilst we do not restrict clubs from reapplying, we urge you to consider why your application may have been unsuccessful in the past. Please only reapply if your needs or circumstances have changed.

Can I receive feedback on my application?

Due to the high volume of entries we cannot provide feedback on individual applications. 

Can I apply if I have previously won a Cash4Clubs grant?

Yes, but this will be taken into consideration. 

Are all sports able to apply?

Yes, we welcome applications from all types of sports clubs and teams.
