Cash4Clubs, funded by Flutter UKI, contributes £400,000 worth of funding to 200 grassroots sports and community clubs across Ireland and the UK. In partnership with leading UK charity Sported, they offer small grants of 2,000 GBP/Euro to clubs and organisations that help keep adults engaged with sport, particularly in areas of need.
Cash4Clubs is a small grants scheme for community sports clubs and organisations giving them a chance to apply for grants to improve facilities, purchase new equipment, gain coaching qualifications, and invest in the sustainability of their club. The Cash4Clubs scheme has given out sport grants to many deserving recipients in the past and is committed to funding even more sports clubs in the future.
In 2021, Cash4Clubs ran a campaign to support local clubs through the pandemic called ClubsInCrisis.
Cash4Clubs was set up in 2008 by Paddy Power, now part of Flutter UKI, to support local sports clubs. Since then, it has grown in size and reach helping hundreds of thousands of people across the UK and Ireland by ensuring they have access to local sports and supporting the sustainability of clubs.
Cash4Clubs is funded by Flutter UKI, part of Flutter Entertainment, the global sports betting, gaming and entertainment provider for over 18 million customers worldwide.
Flutter understands the power of sport in promoting health and wellbeing, bringing people together and building thriving communities which is why Cash4Clubs, launched 15 years ago, is one of their biggest community initiatives and a central part of their commitment to Do More for the community.
Over £6.5million has been donated since then via Cash4Clubs and the ClubsInCrisis campaign that was run during the pandemic.
Community sport is more than just the game it's an investment in the health, resilience, and future of our communities.
Sport promotes healthy living, it has the power to bring people together, fostering relationships, and transforming lives for the better.
We believe that sport is not just for the elite. It is for everyone and we want to get behind the clubs across the UK and Ireland that are part of the backbone of our communities.
This is why we are working with Sported, the UK’s largest network of community sports groups, to get vital funds to the clubs that need it most. The increasing costs of running clubs has put enormous pressure on community sports and the threat of closure is real. The ramifications of these clubs closing their doors would be devastating to communities up and down the country.
We also believe that communities know best how to allocate their funding which is why grants are unrestricted. This means the money goes to the clubs that need it most in the way that can help best.
