£400,000 is available in small grants for grassroots sports clubs in need.

Flutter UKI are delighted to team up again with the UK leading charity Sported for the 2024 edition of Cash4Clubs, offering small grants of 2,000 GBP/Euro to community sports clubs and organisations that are giving adults access to sport across the UK and Ireland.

Applications are now open.
Successful applicants will be notified in December 2024.

Background to Cash4Clubs

Cash4Clubs was set up in 2008 by Paddy Power, now part of Flutter UKI, to support local sports clubs. Since then, it has grown in size and reach helping hundreds of thousands of people across the UK and Ireland by ensuring they have access to local sports and supporting the sustainability of clubs.

More than the Game

Community sport is more than just the game it's an investment in the health, resilience, and future of our communities.

Sport promotes healthy living, it has the power to bring people together, fostering relationships, and transforming lives for the better.

We believe that sport is not just for the elite. It is for everyone and we want to get behind the clubs across the UK and Ireland that are part of the backbone of our communities.

Partnering with Experts

This is why we are working with Sported, the UK’s largest network of community sports groups, to get vital funds to the clubs that need it most. The increasing costs of running clubs has put enormous pressure on community sports and the threat of closure is real. The ramifications of these clubs closing their doors would be devastating to communities up and down the country.

We also believe that communities know best how to allocate their funding which is why grants are unrestricted. This means the money goes to the clubs that need it most in the way that can help best.

"I hope that grassroots clubs will make the most of the opportunity to apply for a Cash4Clubs grant. These clubs do great work in our communities, bringing people together, getting them active and developing new skills and passions. This money will make a huge difference."

Dame Caroline Dineage MP, Conservative MP for Gosport and Chair of the CMS Select Committee.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for funding, clubs and organisations must be either registered charities or clubs with a structured governance and constitution. We are also keen to hear from clubs that are targeting communities from deprived areas.

Whilst funding is unrestricted, we are only able to support clubs that serve over 18 year olds. We are particularly interested to hear from clubs that are using sport for other social purposes such as developing skills, reducing crime or addressing anti-social behaviour.

All relevant information on guidelines and application process can be found online here from the 12th September.
