Leeds City Athletic Club
Leeds City Athletic Club in South Leeds is based at the John Charles Centre for Sport. With nearly 400 members from across the city and region is it was of the largest winners of a Cash 4 Clubs grant.
The club offers year round coaching for everyone from under 11 boys and girls across the spectrum of age groups through to veterans over 70 at all track and field events, cross country and road running. They also have a flourishing disability training group.
The £1,000 sports grant has been used as a contribution to a racing wheelchair for this latter group as well as everyday equipment including javelins, discus and shot putts.
