Angmering Gymnastics
Angmering Gymnastics club is based in the village of Angmering in West Sussex. They cater for over 200 members who are also drawn from the surrounding villages, ranging in age from 18 months to 16 years.They offer pre school, rising fives, team gym, floor and vault, artistic, boys and general classes. The club actively encourages membership within the local community, via their coaches offering breakfast, after school and curriculum gymnastics to the local primary schools.
Angmering Gymnastics has many aims and goals. They aspire to be one of the best clubs in Sussex, offering every child the opportunity to succeed and enjoy sport. They would like to develop a special needs class in the near future, and also develop their competitive groups further. They would like to set up their own website this year and are continuing to raise funds to have their gym refurbished.
The Cash 4 Clubs sports grant of £1,000 was awarded to the club to enable them to sponsor the training for talented children from disadvantaged backgrounds, for whom this would be an opportunity they could only dream of. This training will also develop discipline and commitment which can only be of benefit them in the future. The club will also benefit as a whole as more children being more successful at competitions will raise the profile of the club and its further support.
