City of Liverpool Gymnastics Club
City of Liverpool Gymnastics Club is a Gymnastics club based in Liverpool, Merseyside. It is a fully accredited member of British Gymnastics and offers opportunities for development from recreational through to the Elite levels of gymnastics. They currently have over 100 members.
The club offers training to elite gymnasts at a High Performance Centre in Liverpool but also offers opportunities for people from across the city to get involved. They work in conjunction with local schools to offer sessions to children in order to broaden their horizons and promote a fit and healthy lifestyle.
The club aims to give young, budding gymnasts the best possible start in the sport by providing gymnastic coaching with fully qualified National Governing Body coaches (British Gymnastics). By engaging with young people and showing them that sport and exercise can be fun they hope to reduce the number of people that drop out of sport.
The Cash 4 Clubs sports grant of £1,000 was awarded to the club to enable them to purchase new training and safety equipment for use within the gymnasium. New equipment is always vital to ensure our coaches are working with our athletes in the safest circumstances as well as providing our athletes with competitive practice facilities.
