Seaton Delaval FC

Seaton Delaval Football Club is based in a small village in Tyne and Wear with a history dating back to the 1920s. Run by volunteers, they take football players moving on from junior teams in the local areas to step up into senior football where they are coached and provide 1 senior team to play in league matches.

The goals of the club are to expand their club membership; perhaps working with a local junior club so they can cater for teams from Under 8s and upwards.

The Cash 4 Clubs sports grant of £500 was awarded to the club towards to the purchase of a new line marker to replace the outdated machine they can no longer use, and towards the purchase of new goal nets to replace old nets which are getting beyond repair.

The new line marker has become a compulsory need due to the machine being unable to handle the current mixed solution. New netting for the club will mean a more presentable match grounds to which both teams and supporters will enjoy.

"A new line marker and new set of goal-nets will be an asset for our club to keep up with the standard of our league, The Premier Division of the Northern Alliance. Grants like this from Cash 4 Clubs are a lifeline for clubs like ourselves." Phil Hildreth, Seaton Delaval Amatures F.C
