Hull & District Canoe Club
Hull and District Canoe Club is a Canoe and Kayak club based in Brough, East Yorkshire. Established in 1972 the club is based at a pond in North Cave where they meet every Saturday morning. It is run by volunteers and has a varied membership covering a wide age range.
The club aims is to introduce as many people as possible to the joys of Kayaking and Canoeing, offering members a full programme of events throughout the year and a high level of coaching. They are currently aiming to train more coaches in response to growing memberships needs.
The Cash 4 Clubs sports grant of £500 was awarded to the club to enable them to train four new one star coaches this year. Having more qualified coaches will allow the club to respond to the growing number of members and interest in the sport.
